Polycom Trio and H.323

Looking at the link below regarding the new H.323 feature I wonder if the Trio can be used standalone behind a Firewall using NAT to make H.323 calls to other VC's on the Internet?
And if a dedicated NAT IP is assigned can it also receive H.323 calls?
Or is it really required to have the Trio registered to a gatekeeper?

Re: Polycom Trio and H.323

Hello ,

Welcome back to the Poly Community.

The linked post should be pretty clear:

  • The H.323 Feature is designed to be utilized in infrastructure environments which contain firewall traversal devices, such as(but not limited to):
    VBP
    RPAD
    DMA-Edge

  • H.460 is not supported
