Hello,

Thank you for reading my thread, though bear with me, I'm new 🙂

I have a certain issue with the BFL address.
When a phone is set to busy, the incoming call is redirected somewhere else by the address set in the Line Key Configuration menu. However, the phone that is busy, when getting an incoming call is showing that address , as shown in the pictures in https://community.polycom.com/t5/VoIP-SIP-Phones/FAQ-Busy-Lamp-Field-for-SoundPoint-IP-supported-Pho...

My question is, can we, instead of showing this address/uri etc, display another string? Maybe by getting the displayName that  already appears successfully at the phone menu where our number, speed dials and BFLs are?

Best Regards.

Hello @yohan,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

To your actual question I am not sure I understand what you are asking?

Can you attach a video or some example screens of what you would like ?

Maybe attach a backup of your configuration via the Web Interface?

My apologies,

My UC Software Version is 5.7.0.11768.

My problem is quite simple.

I have a phone with a line key and a BLF.

BLF has a label, an address and a type.(label_address.png)

When someone calls the BLF, the number(address) string appears (screenshot.png). However, I use as an address a hash@something, and would like to display the label variable instead of address or a customized message, other than the address. Is there a way, to display something different to the actual address/sip@domain information (maybe a variable like displayName (displayAddress) that would overwrite the address variable at display time??

BR.
